Ans-

An equilateral triangle has three sides equal and all angles are equal. Supervisor applies this rule and after measuring lines and angles he concluded that garden is not in equilateral triangle shaped.

(7) Ram has a triangle shaped garden in front of his house. He wanted to construct a path with shortest distance , so that he can use more space for gardening. What is your suggestion to him?

Ans-

The perpendicular line segment is the shortest when drawn from a point. The garden is a triangle. Therefore, he can construct path perpendicular from any point of the triangle.

(8) Write “T” if sentence is true and write “F” if sentence is false.

(i) Each angle of an equilateral triangle is of 600.

(ii) Sides opposite to equal angles of a triangle are not equal.

(iii) Two squares are always congruent.

(9) Can you draw a triangle which has sides of 5, 2 and 1 cm.

Ans-

The sum of any two sides of a triangle is greater than the third side.

5 + 2 > 1cm

2 + 1 < 5 cm

5 + 1 > 2 cm
