Ans – When she was eight years old her mom Isabel Glennie noticed her hearing problem.

When she was eleven years old it was confirmed.

Ans- Percussionist Ron Forbes helped her to continue with music.He began by tuning two large drums to different notes and said to her“Don’t listen through your ears, try to sense it some other ways.”

 

(2) Name the various places and causes for which Evelyn performs?

Ans-  She went to the United Kingdom with a youth orchestra and Studied music in Royal Academy of Music. She performs in regular concerts and also performs free in prisons and hospitals.

(1) How does Evelyn hear music?

Ans- When percussionist Ron Forbes began by tuning two large drums to different notes and said to her ”Don’t listen through your ears, try to sense it some other ways.” She felt higher drum by waist up and lower drum by drum by waist down. Robes repeated this exercise and Evelyn realized that she can feel music from other parts of the body. Gradually she learnt to open her mind and body to sounds and vibrations. She told to Cowley that she can feel music even by her skin, cheekbones and hair.
