Composite Number

A natural number which has at least one divisor other than 1 and number itself, with no remainder is known as composite number.

One is not a composite number.

All natural numbers other than 1 and prime numbers are composite numbers.

Eg:- 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 16 and so on.

Method to find if a number is composite number

Eg:- Is 46 a composite number?


Divide 46 by 2



46 is divisible by 2 and factors are 23 and 2.

46 can be divided by 2, 23, 1 and by 46.

It has more than two factors.

Hence, 46 is a composite number.
